Jedi Mentality

Take a trip back in your mind to that particular day in your childhood where you first realized the power of a magnifying glass on a sunny day. I remember it like it was yesterday. My brother picked up a leaf from the garden, set it on the patio and showed me how to position my magnifying glass in such a way to produce a laser sharp beam of light powerful enough to etch burn spots on the leaf or to catch it on fire depending on how we concentrated the light passing through.

The Silence Between the Notes

Music would be just a bunch of noise if it weren't for the silence between the notes.

As we rush around with our monkey minds running wild, it is easy to get caught up in all of the distractions of life. We're bombarded with imagery, messages and expectations that can easily become integrated into our idealistic existence and core belief system.

I Can Do It Myself!

Close your eyes and go back into your childhood to the first time you resisted help while exclaiming, "I can do it myself!"  Smiling yet?

It is easy to see that children from a very young age are really able to align with the idea of becoming self sufficient and I personally see it as a demonstration of confidence and willingness to stand within their decision. Whether or not it is appropriate to abandon all help is irrelevant. The point lies within their conviction.
